(Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer is retiring from college football following the Buckeyes’ Rose Bowl game against Washington, but he won’t be going far.The legendary college football head coach already has a new job lined up for his retirement.Ohio State’s athletic director, Gene Smith, says that Meyer will become an assistant athletic director at OSU following his retirement.News of Meyer’s new job was first reported by Cleveland.com.The Columbus Dispatch confirmed the hiring:After much speculation on what Urban Meyer will do after retiring as the Ohio State football head coach on Jan. 2, it has been confirmed that he will stay with the Buckeyes, but in a different role.Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith said that Meyer will become the assistant athletic director. Rene Toft Hansen who celebrated his 28th birthday on Nov 1st, got injured yesterday in the friendly game that Denmark played against Argentina. The diagnose says that a fracture of the left collarbone and a rib occured after he got a blow in the back. The first examinations says that this might mean at least six weeks out for Rene Toft Hansen, but will be re-examined again on his return to Kiel. This would mean that Ahlm and Wiencek will have to close the gap that has been created now with his absence. read more
