ALL-IRELAND QUARTER-FINAL: BRILLIANT DONEGAL LEAD ARMAGH AT HALF-TIME IN CLONES

first_imgGAA: Donegal are leading Armagh by THREE points in their All-Ireland quarter-final clash with Armagh in Clones.Davy McLaughlin’s side have been superb and will probably be slightly disappointed not to further ahead considering their dominance in possession. Donegal have been guilty of hitting some bad wide’s in the opening period but overall they’ve been brilliant.McLaughlin’s side are playing fast free flowing football and Armagh are struggling to cope with it.Yvonne McMonagle has been a livewire inside and she scored a superb goal midway through the half. She got on the end of a long ball inside turned her marker and expertly dispatched her effort past the helpless Armagh goalkeeper. Geraldine McLaughlin has pointed some excellent frees and is a constant threat every time she gets possession.Armagh to their credit have hung in there and they’ll be happy enough to only be two points down at half-time.There inside-forward line has been very good and they’ve been a constant threat to the Donegal backline. If Armagh can get the ball inside quicker then Donegal will have their hands full, but so far it has been a really, really accomplished display from Donegal. If they can just improve their shooting in the second-half then hopefully they can book a FIRST EVER All-Ireland Senior semi-final spot.ALL-IRELAND QUARTER-FINAL: BRILLIANT DONEGAL LEAD ARMAGH AT HALF-TIME IN CLONES was last modified: August 22nd, 2015 by Mark ForkerShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:Home-page Sportnewslast_img read more
