(Photo by Scott Halleran/Getty Images)In their final regular season game this year, Texas A&M pulled off one of the biggest upsets with a 74-72 win over No. 8 LSU that went to seven overtimes.The win gave the Aggies eight wins on the season and propelled them from unranked to No. 22 in the AP poll.As a result, the Aggies finished second behind Alabama in the SEC West and have plenty of momentum going into their 10th straight bowl game appearance.The general consensus seems to be that Texas A&M will be playing on New Year’s Day, but not in one of the bigger bowl games.CBS Sports projects the Aggies to play against a Big Ten team in the Outback Bowl – namely, Michigan State.Sports Illustrated, on the other hand, thinks that Texas A&M will be representing against Iowa State of the Big 12 in the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl against Baylor.College Football News also seems to think that Texas A&M will be playing against a Big 12 opponent in the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl: Iowa State.Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher won five of seven bowl games at Florida State. With the Aggies having lost three straight bowl games, they’re hopeful that Fisher can lead them to glory again.last_img
