Nathan Fletcher proposes County office for immigrants and refugees

Flethcer plans to launch the first-ever County Center for New San Diegans.The full press release announcing Fletcher’s plan can be read below:Nathan Fletcher said: “While Donald Trump divides and derides, we will protect and praise the immigrants and refugees who proudly call San Diego home.  As Supervisor, I’ll launch the County Center for New San Diegans to expand access to information, services and support so immigrant families know they’re not alone in their journey to achieve the American Dream.  I’ll fight to keep San Diego a welcoming city for immigrants and refugees and stop Trump’s hateful anti-immigrant policies from ever taking hold here.”Nearly one-quarter of San Diego County’s population is made up of immigrants and home to the largest refugee community in California.
